Here is the blunderbuss I designed and made for a Matt Pollocks animation. I sculpted a rough model out of plasticine then carved the handle out of wood. I then sculpted a coke can for the barrel. The other metal used is copper wire that I hammered flat to make the shape on the side.
I'm a set builder, prop maker and sculptor. I have finish University at the Atruim in Cardiff, studied stop motion animation. Here are some pictures of my work and what I do.
I am work at Aardman on the new feature film, The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists… A delicious confection of piracy on the high seas. Aardman co-founder Peter Lord returns to hands-on directing for the first time since 'Chicken Run', with a comedy adventure based on two books from the cult 'Pirates!' series by Gideon Defoe who has also penned the screenplay. 'Pirates!' will be co-directed by Jeff Newitt.
